Today, we're pleased to introduce 'Pucker', the first in a series of Sour IPAs that utilize a variety of fruit-forward hops and inventive ingredients. For our first release in this series, we used some of our favorite Citra lots and a novel sour yeast strain, creating notes of sour mango candies, tart orange juice, and tangy lemon curd. The hop character, in conjunction with the acidity present, is akin to ruby red grapefruit. It's a mildly hoppy, reasonably tart beer that's just pleasant to drink. Throughout every stage of the process, from growing to fermenting, drying, roasting, and packaging, this special bean has undergone exceptional care and attention to detail. The Familia Gutierrez Natural Gesha Whole Bean Box is one not to miss for coffee lovers in your life. This Gesha variety originates from Finca Monteverde, a 15-hectare coffee farm owned by Gilardo Gutierrez's family for over 70 years, spanning five generations of a passion for cultivation and a commitment to quality. The Gutierrez family refers to this lot as "Pink Natural" because, during fermentation, the beans develop a distinct pink-green hue. The Gesha bean has already garnered worldwide acclaim for its significant sweetness, vibrance, and floral aroma, as well as for being a very delicate coffee to grow. This family of producers fermented the cherries of this Gesha for 24 hours, followed by a second fermentation in water enriched with native microorganisms from the farm for an additional 12 hours. All this was done before laying them out to dry on their canopy for 3 days, followed by 10 days of drying in a mechanical silo. An absolute knockout in the cup, look out for notes of strawberry parfait and orange peel.
