The days are technically getting shorter, and our minds are slowly starting to drift to more robust beers worthy of attention and reflection. To that end, we're thrilled to release a fresh batch of Bird of Passage, our oak-conditioned Munich Dunkel. Munich malt is a distinctive grain, and once you become familiar with its characteristics, it becomes a thread connecting a whole host of traditional styles. Nutty, toasty, with an unmistakable honey sweetness, you can't help but grab a few kernels to chew on as you prepare the grain in our mill room. Birds of Passage pours a dark brown hue with a wispy head of foam. While it contains rich aromas of nutty malt, rustic dark breads, buckwheat honey, and oaky spice, it is undeniably crisp and quaffable.
