The world needs more smoked beer; we will keep doing our part. Two historic brewing traditions collide in this latest offering in honor of Oktoberfest. In our quest to explore every tributary and offshoot within the world of Märzen lagers, we present Slow Burn. The backbone of this beer carries the quintessential notes of brown bread, malty caramel, and balanced bitterness from noble Hallertau hops—but with a twist from Munich’s northern neighbor, Bamberg. Traveling but two hours from Germany’s capital, one will find one immersed in a beer culture like no other: the land of smoked beers. Modern brewers can tweak, nudge, and control every possible minutia of the brewing and fermentation process, but in Bamberg, a relic of the old world still thrives. Grain smoked over seasoned beechwood adds stunning complexity while celebrating our love of a warm fire in the cool New England air. Today, we are pleased to release the 2024 vintage of our Spiced Apple Liqueur. Our liqueur starts with Connecticut and Tree House estate-grown apples that we press and ferment. We then distill this cider into an aromatic 'Eau de vie.' From there, sugar, cider, and spice are added to the brandy to create the most autumnal of drams. We couldn't list all of the ways to enjoy this seasonal sipper, but it's delectable on its own, slightly chilled, or can be used to replace any sweetener in your favorite cocktail for an autumnal flair. To anchor our roastery's 5th-anniversary celebration, we’re introducing an all-new packaging format for our hyper-limited, special-release coffees. Gesha coffee is prized for its complex fruity flavors. It is often regarded as one of the most distinct and high-quality coffee varieties in the world. This Gesha variety comes from Finca Monteverde, a 15-hectare coffee farm owned by Gilardo Gutierrez's family for over 70 years, spanning five generations of a never-ending passion for cultivation and elevated quality. Gesha has already garnered worldwide acclaim for its significant sweetness, vibrance, and floral aroma and its delicate coffee to grow. The Gutierrez family further took this gesha - dubbed "Amarillo natural" - and fermented the cherries in a temperature-controlled open system through cold showers of water for 24 hours, followed by 40 hours submerged in water, all before laying them out for 30 additional days on a solar drying canopy. An absolute knockout in the cup, look out for notes of citrus bergamot and honeysuckle blossom. It’s Friday, and that means we’re open in Boston through the weekend! We’ve enjoyed a great start in the city and heard a lot of questions along the way. Hopefully, this helps! We heavily emphasized the drive-through aspect during the original announcement but can’t forget the simple walk-up window for passersby in the arcade level! Fresh Hop Citra - Coleman Farms is a project we went all in on. We traveled to Oregon armed with our refrigerated trailer and brought back the best fresh Coleman Citra we could find out in the field. It expresses itself brilliantly in this pale ale, with classic Oregon Citra orange juice and vanilla notes. Wet-hopped beers on the west coast are the year's most popular releases.
