Today in Tewksbury, we are pleased to introduce our hand-crafted cocktail program. We’ve focused intently on creating cocktails of distinction and elegance that elevate familiar drinks with original spirits by @treehousedistillery and unexpected accents that add depth and character to each drink. In our Espresso Martini you will find a base of KOLA, our coffee liqueur. Kola begins its journey as a coffee liqueur unlike any other, with a single malt stout mash fermented clean and then distilled to a sweet cocoa and vanilla-forward spirit. Following its time in the still, Kola is laid to condition atop freshly sliced vanilla beans and a potent infusion of custom House-roasted and extracted cold brew from our roastery. From there, we use House Vodka, distilled from locally grown and malted barley, a dash of Monochrome cold brew concentrate, and house simple syrup to round out the Tree House Espresso Martini. In Juicelius, the Richley Rum Blanc, orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup provide a juicy base for the ultimate novel finisher - a foam of fresh Julius. This treatment is what sets this cocktail apart. That familiar blast of unique overripe orange flavor from Julius hits perfectly on top of the mouthwatering cocktail below. Lastly, the highlight of the Tree House Bloody Mary is our pickle Gin, the Big Pickle! This invention brings a hearty savory note to the base of flavor that make this cocktail irresistible no matter what time of day. We look forward to serving you a proper drink. Our home base camp during our visit to @garstonhops was the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown. Queenstown is nestled between towering peaks on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and carries astonishing natural beauty in every direction you look. Sitting just forty miles north of Garston, Queenstown is the launchpad for outdoor excursions of all shapes and sizes in the South Island. It is a bustling and dynamic blend of tourists, backpackers, adventure enthusiasts, digital nomads, new residents, and long-time locals. It would be impossible to find boredom in Queenstown; you can do anything from bungee jumping to having a cocktail in an ice bar to taking in a circus show at the lakeside. The downtown area is a culinary melting pot, and you can enjoy anything from a fresh seafood dinner to the iconic Fergburger, a must-try burger joint for all Queenstown visitors. We were treated to our first beer of the trip—a crushable, hazy Pale Ale from Altitude Brewing called Sled Dog—at the Atlas Beer Cafe, a bustling, cozy escape on the docks of Lake Wakatipu. With a huge variety of New Zealand-made beers on tap and a host of friendly locals, this pub was exactly what we needed after a whirlwind pair of travel days. Upon departing the city for hoppier pastures, we were greeted by an incredible view of the valley below from an exceptional vantage point at the top of the iconic Crown Range Road. A refreshing, fresh Julius in hand made the moment all the more memorable. Also, on the first part of this road to Nelson, we passed the historic Cardona Hotel, made a quick pit stop at the Cardrona Distillery, and enjoyed a few moments of Zen with the iconic Wanaka Tree (which you may be familiar with from the label of Unity, our all Nelson Sauvin Pale Ale). The journey to Nelson continues only after a pit stop at Mount Cook, @gladfieldmalt, and a scenic drive along the coast through Kaikurou. Stay tuned, and drink well.
