Unity is an American Pale Ale brewed with Nelson Sauvin hops putting forth aromas of tropical fruit, gooseberries, white wine, passion fruit, and clementine Unity is an American Pale Ale brewed with our House yeast and Nelson Sauvin hops sourced from New Zealand.
The Wanaka Tree, featured on Unity, holds special meaning for us at Tree House. It anchors our annual journeys to New Zealand—a steadfast, reassuring presence, quietly resisting the pull of time even as it inevitably yields to change. Unity is an absolute crusher of a pale ale brewed entirely with Nelson Sauvin hops, which we hand-sourced from New Zealand. This beer is lighter than air while totally saturated with these special hops. It has wild aromas of Gooseberry, crushed grape, and citrus peel. #productphotography #productphotodaily #photography #craftbeer #treehousebrewing #beergram #beerstagram #beersandcameras #beerlover #beerbeerbeer #beerme #beergeek #beertography #beernerd #fujifilm #gfx100II @fujifilmx_us@profoto
Our home base camp during our visit to @garstonhops was the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown. Queenstown is nestled between towering peaks on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and carries astonishing natural beauty in every direction you look. Sitting just forty miles north of Garston, Queenstown is the launchpad for outdoor excursions of all shapes and sizes in the South Island. It is a bustling and dynamic blend of tourists, backpackers, adventure enthusiasts, digital nomads, new residents, and long-time locals. It would be impossible to find boredom in Queenstown; you can do anything from bungee jumping to having a cocktail in an ice bar to taking in a circus show at the lakeside. The downtown area is a culinary melting pot, and you can enjoy anything from a fresh seafood dinner to the iconic Fergburger, a must-try burger joint for all Queenstown visitors. We were treated to our first beer of the trip—a crushable, hazy Pale Ale from Altitude Brewing called Sled Dog—at the Atlas Beer Cafe, a bustling, cozy escape on the docks of Lake Wakatipu. With a huge variety of New Zealand-made beers on tap and a host of friendly locals, this pub was exactly what we needed after a whirlwind pair of travel days. Upon departing the city for hoppier pastures, we were greeted by an incredible view of the valley below from an exceptional vantage point at the top of the iconic Crown Range Road. A refreshing, fresh Julius in hand made the moment all the more memorable. Also, on the first part of this road to Nelson, we passed the historic Cardona Hotel, made a quick pit stop at the Cardrona Distillery, and enjoyed a few moments of Zen with the iconic Wanaka Tree (which you may be familiar with from the label of Unity, our all Nelson Sauvin Pale Ale). The journey to Nelson continues only after a pit stop at Mount Cook, @gladfieldmalt, and a scenic drive along the coast through Kaikurou. Stay tuned, and drink well.
Unity is our pale ale homage to New Zealand, and more specifically the town of Wanaka. Nestled between snow-capped peaks on the southern shores of its namesake lake, the town left an indelible impression on us when we had the opportunity to visit. Unity features hand-selected Nelson Sauvin hops, giving this summer crusher a clean and delightful drinking appeal.
Today we are pleased to reintroduce Unity! Featuring a depiction of the Wanaka Tree, this gem pays homage to the land from which the Nelson hops it contains originate. The Nelson used in this batch are some of the first in the mainland United States from the 2023 hops, thanks to some energetic coordination with our friends at Freestyle Hops.
