Today's Single Origin Coffee release is a continuation of our quest for rare varietals and the unique properties of their terroir, carefully crafted by our roastery team. This naturally processed coffee originates from the Hafi washing station in the remote Muyinga Province of Burundi. "Hafi" translates to "close" in Kirundi—the national language of Burundi—simply because of how efficiently placed this washing station is in relation to its adjacent farms, setting a new standard in quality and same-day processing. This Cold Brew features notes of oolong tea and blueberries, a wonderful juxtaposition of light and dark flavors with a snappy and refreshing body. Beyond its incredible flavor profile, this coffee helps to support the noble ambitions of its producers. Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian founded JNP Coffee Importers in 2012 to showcase the exceptional coffees of her home country, Burundi. After Image represents a continuation of our quest to create ultra-pale malt bills as a foundation for some of our favorite hand-selected hop lots. What started as a thought experiment on the brew deck has snowballed into a sort of side quest or genre within our portfolio of hoppy beer. After brewing a complex malt bill, we ferment it in stainless steel and carefully transfer it into a variety of barrels from our favorite producers across America's Bourbon Belt. It's been several years since we've had the opportunity to share this Barleywine with you, and it couldn't have come at a better time as fall approaches. Our 2025 vintage consists of a blend that rested in our extensive bourbon cellar for two years or more. Its profile carries a distinct oaky spice and woody vanilla that meet classic notes of toffee and milk chocolate with syrupy undertones of molasses, fig, black cherry, raisins, and dates. We crafted a Double IPA with a distinct blend of hops from our favorite growing regions, resulting in one of the most well-rounded expressions of this storied hop. The varied terroir present in this single-hop beer creates a deep tropical complexity of bright citrus, stone fruit, lychee, ripe mango, clementine-like character, and a hint of vanilla. The label is graced with an image of Mount Rainier, whose snowpack makes the immense hop-growing fields of the Yakima Valley possible.
