Bergsteiger is our Schwarzbier. Crafted from an assortment of German malts, both pale and roasted, it carries the flavor and character of tradition with the elegance and refinement of modern brewing methodology. Pouring a clean chocolatey color into the glass, it carries notes of dark chocolate, bread crust, nuttiness, and mild caramel sweetness balanced by a sturdy noble hop character.

Dark beer season is here, and we've been conditioning one of our favorite German Lagers in anticipation—Bergsteiger! Our Schwarzbier has restrained notes of cocoa, coffee, and dark bread crust, finishing clean and dry. Like so many German lagers, this beer is all about balance, creating an easy-drinking experience and exploring flavors without pushing them to extremes.
