What a sight. In celebration of two weeks of Truth, we're tapping vintage barrels today in Charlton, Deerfield, Sandwich, Saratoga, and Tewksbury. Last year’s bottlings of Truth produced some incredible beers, and one of our favorites was a perennial favorite: Vanilla Bean Truth. A year out from its bottling, the already mellow booziness of its Imperial base is further tempered, making way for even more robust notes of vanilla syrup, vanilla wafers, and dark chocolate–covered bourbon candy. It is an absolute treat on draft.

Vanilla Bean Truth was aged for 22 months in select wheated bourbon barrels. It is then conditioned atop heaps of Grade A, purposefully selected vanilla beans. Though simple in construction, it is immensely complex in the glass. It pours motor oil black and emits notes and aromas of chocolate chip cookies, vanilla ice cream, tootsie rolls, and flourless chocolate cake. It begs to be savored, celebrated, and shared with those you love. Today we are pleased to release the 2023 vintage of Vanilla Bean Truth. The more mature a barrel program, the more options for blending and creation naturally become available. Dan's masterful stewardship of the program is now pushing five years and close to seven hundred barrels, and as the recent varied and exceptional offerings indicate, we are just getting started with bottling from this treasure trove of bourbon barrel bliss. Thanks to last year's Project Find the Limit Vanilla Bean, we were able to pinpoint the precise volume of vanilla that makes a stout such as this as enjoyable as possible. Paired with the very best mature barrels in our cellar, the result is simply sublime. We hope you are able to try it!
