The Boss is a rendition of Big Bear Barrel Blend conditioned on maple black tea. Pouring a dark brown color with a head of coffee-colored foam, aromas of brown bread, caramel, dried fruits, and earthy American hops greet the senses. The blend of young Imperial Brown Ale with threads of a barrel-aged component further balances its malt character with notes of vanilla and a subtle tannic, oaky finish.
Leads with bread and caramel; also raisin & fig, brown sugar and herbal; hints of citrus and oak.

We're super excited about this beer. The Boss! This new rendition of Big Bear is conditioned on maple black tea. Pouring a dark color with a head of coffee-colored foam, the aromas of brown bread, caramel, dried fruits, and earthy American hops greet the senses. On top of this robust introduction are mellow notes of maple sugar candies, Irish breakfast tea, and a hint of citrus that lingers on the palate. We have a few Grizzly enthusiasts in our ranks, if you couldn't tell from our recurring beer Queen of the Tetons. This beer honors another famous bear from our national parks, "the Boss", who is so beastly he's survived being struck by not one but two trains.
