It is time. Little Fire is our Smoked Helles carrying notes of fresh-baked bread, clean lager yeast, straw, and whispers of smoke. The Helles can do no wrong. This versatile lager is full of rich malt character but somehow snaps to a clean finish every time. We put this batch of Little Fire into a horizontal tank early this autumn and nearly forgot about it. Well, not really, but you might think we did, given the amount of extra time it spent softening and rounding out in stainless. We'll take a Smoked Helles any season, but it hits different in the winter. German malts make for a complex profile that leads with whisps of campfire smoke and ends as crisp as can be. Beers such as Patient Little Fire represent the pinnacle of our efforts at Tree House. They require meticulous attention to detail and, perhaps most difficult of all, extreme patience.
