Before the crew jetted to the West Coast for hop selection last week, they were busy brewing this salute to those endless hop fields. Westy is our West Coast IPA with a historic blend of Pacific Northwest hops. It clocks triple-digit old-school IBUs and is nothing short of a pine-and-citrus bomb! It rips especially hard on draft. Get it!

Westy is our West Coast Double IPA, brewed with a raucous blend of Pacific Northwest hops and weighing in at 7.8% with 100 IBUs. On top of a crisp, dry body, notes of dank hop yards, bitter citrus peel, and freshly squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice leap out of the glass. Hops weren’t always the sweetly tropical additions we’ve come to know and love. They used to be part of an initiation into the world of craft beer. Massive hop additions set a new standard for American IPAs, and behind the bitter introduction were thirst-quenching notes of pine and pithy citrus peel. It’s still juicy, but with a bitter bite that wins you over quicker than you might expect. Old school through and through, this is one of our favorite hop bombs in our huge catalogue of Double IPAs.
We aspire for most Tree House IPAs to be soft and fluffy. So when we hit the drawing board for a West Coast rendition, we went all out in the other direction. Westy is a hefty 7.8% ABV and smacks the palate with an assertive 100+ IBUs. Classic notes of grapefruit peel, earthy cannabis, and pine sweep over the senses from a blend of Pacific Northwest hops. Say hello to Hyperion, the latest in our line-up of West Coast-inspired Double IPA and a sister beer to Westy. Hyperion, the world's largest tree, is a coastal redwood that was recently discovered within the borders of Redwood National Park. Secrets hidden in plain sight, such as this, inspire us, stoking our imagination to wonder what other mysteries lie ahead. Its location is undisclosed and under increased protection by the park rangers; simply knowing it is healthy and ever-growing is a joy in itself. Hyperion is a hophead's dream, utilizing a blend from some of our favorite growers from the Pacific Northwest. Strata and Mosaic hops bring waves of blueberry, strawberry, and dank, earthy notes across the palate. We then added a charge of McKenzie hops, which pop with aromas of bitter grapefruit, lemon zest, and woody pine resin. We hope you enjoy this beer while contemplating the natural treasures of this world.
