Twigs is our Rauch Altbier, a scaled-down version of Sticks with a portion of smoked malt in the grist. Pouring a deep amber hue with a creamy head, its complex grain bill lends notes of toasted bread crust, figs, roasted nuts, knotweed honey, and campfire smoke.

Twigs! 🔥🌲 Twigs is our Rauch Altbier, a scaled-down version of Sticks with some smoked malt in the grist. Pouring a deep amber hue with a creamy head, it has a complex grain bill that lends notes of toasted bread crust, figs, roasted nuts, knotweed honey, and campfire smoke. We've often taken a classic style and added a portion of smoked malt to deepen its complexity, and Twigs does just that with this rare German ale. The Alt portion of the grain bill brings the best of both worlds, with fruity, nutty notes, while cold conditioning gives it a crispness that hits like a Lager. The addition of smoked grain is a serendipitous ode to where we imagine this beer would be enjoyed best: next to a roaring fire with friends and plenty of snacks!
