On top of a soft, creamy base, we used a new hop with stunning citrus character: Tangier.

Tangy is back for the hop heads. Featuring the latest hop from Yakima Valley legend Martin Ramos, Tangier delivers uncanny notes of freshly peeled tangerines and orange creamsicles. This future classic is one of the most citrus-forward hops we’ve encountered during our yearly hop selection. There’s a reason Tangy is all dressed up in a core-beer fit: its intense character brought us back to the days when we first encountered game-changing varieties. We plan to incorporate it into a multitude of recipes this year, but first, we wanted to showcase it in all its glory.

Its creator, Martin Ramos, aka “the hop whisperer,” is a living legend in the world of craft beer. Segal Ranch is a third-generation hop farm in Washington State, and as their resident green thumb, he's been honing his craft for over 30 years. Tangy tastes as good at the end of the glass as it does at the beginning, without being harsh or overbearing. It's designed to be an everyday beer with lasting appeal that can stand up to the rigor of our now decades-old offerings.
