Patient Wanderer underwent extensive conditioning in order to boost its clarity, crispness and zippy profile! A Lager for Lager lovers! Patient Wanderer is our German-style Helles Lager that was given an extensive four-month rest in our stainless steel horizontal conditioning cellar.
Patient Wanderer is our German-style Helles Lager, given an extensive four-month rest in our stainless steel horizontal conditioning cellar. Pouring a brilliant straw-gold color into the glass, it carries notes of doughy malt, fresh-cut straw, clean lager yeast, and just the right touch of zippy noble hops. If you're lucky enough to grab one of our extended-conditioned lagers while they're here, take a moment to observe the bubbles as you pour. We suggest a vigorous initial pour to fill about half the glass, followed by a more measured pour after a brief rest to build a head that rises above the rim. The slow conditioning process, gradually infused into the beer through immense head pressure over many weeks, helps create fine, pinpoint bubbles. These tiny bubbles form a dense, meringue-like foam that lingers far longer than that of most ales before slowly collapsing into delicate islands of foam and intricate lacing along the glass. It helps create a soft profile and zippy carbonation, and it actually protects the surface from minor oxidation as you drink. It is such a beautiful beer.
Today, a new beer has emerged called 'Patient Wanderer' - an absolute gem of patience and intent. Lager is one of those words we use so often that it's easy to forget what it actually means: to store or keep. That's exactly what we did with this batch of our Helles, we stashed it away in our horizontal cellar for an extended rest, increasing its already brilliant clarity, snappiness and crisp finish. It's an incredible representation of the classic Helles malty, doughy, noble, spiced profile. #productphotography #productphotodaily #photography #craftbeer #treehousebrewing #beergram #beerstagram #beersandcameras #beerlover #beerbeerbeer #beerme #beergeek #beertography #beernerd #fujifilm #gfx100II @fujifilmx_us@profoto
