No Surprises is a Czech-style lager featuring a classic yeast strain, Bohemian pilsner malt, and copious amounts of zesty hand-selected Saaz hops. Following primary fermentation and conditioning, it is moved onto a copious dose of hand-selected Saaz hops for additional cold hopping and character development.

Zippy Pils! No Surprises is our Czech-style lager featuring a classic yeast strain, Bohemian pilsner malt, and copious amounts of zesty, hand-selected Saaz hops. If you find yourself gravitating toward lagers, you’ll eventually stumble into the world of Czech beer. Their pilsners are legendary for their clean, crisp character, and while they carry a distinct hop presence, they’re generally more restrained than their German counterparts. In this offering, however, Saaz hops are the star - one of the classic noble hops - delicate, floral, and hay-like, but when used in a generous charge, they reveal a striking lemony brightness that lifts the entire beer. No alarms. No surprises.
