Nelson Many Ways Freestyle Hops

The magic of terroir—the environmental conditions, especially soil and climate, in which hops are grown and give a hop their unique flavor and aroma—continues to enthrall us at Tree House. To illustrate the difference between region and growing conditions, we have begun the Many Ways series, which seeks to brew single-hop beers with hops sourced from specific growing regions and farms.

Nelson Many Ways Freestyle returns in all its New Zealand glory. This series is an exploration of terroir spanning our journeys across this incredible island. Our friends at Freestyle have kept their growing operation small and focused on state-of-the-art harvesting, pelletizing, and packaging techniques, ensuring the preservation of their hops' unique aromatic character. This beer absolutely pops with notes of passion fruit thanks to the perfectly timed sensory harvest conducted by the team. #productphotography #productphotodaily #photography #craftbeer #treehousebrewing #beergram #beerstagram #beersandcameras #beerlover #beerbeerbeer #beerme #beergeek #beertography #beernerd #fujifilm #gfx100II @fujifilmx_us @profoto

10 photos: Today we released Nelson Many Ways - Freestyle.

Today we released Nelson Many Ways - Freestyle. It is a labor of love and devotion to our craft. We analyzed literally every kilned lot from this year’s harvest to arrive at our favorite expression of Nelson grown by Freestyle at their Sunrise Valley farm. We have multiple lots to utilize in different ways for different reasons, but this represents the ultimate expression of this iconic New Zealand gem in a Tree House hoppy beer, and it’s only the beginning of this journey terroir and discovery.
