Midnight Snack is an English Brown Ale conditioned on house-toasted hazelnuts. Pouring a deep brown hue with a dollop of foam, notes of hazelnut truffles and chocolate hazelnut palmiers rise from the glass. Featuring Simpson’s Export Pale Chocolate malt atop a traditional grain bill, notes of hot cocoa, toffee cake, coffee, and toasted nuts envelop every sip.

🌙 Midnight Snack🍫 We were craving a classic English Brown Ale and decided to give it a twist: we rested it on house-roasted hazelnuts! We crafted this treat around an imported British malt that's new to us: Simpsons Export Pale Brown. We'd heard it carries an unmistakable cocoa note, and we had to get our hands on some. Pouring a deep brown hue with a dollop of foam, it carries notes of hazelnut truffles, cocoa powder, toffee cake, and a hint of coffee that rise from the glass and envelop every sip. Rich, quaffable, and cozy, it's the perfect accompaniment to a day spent outside and a late night with friends. The art gracing this can is by our good friend J Samson, a New England native and multidisciplinary artist who blends techniques ancient and modern in the service of his art and passions. He has spent time as a chef on movie sets in Boston and abroad, baked bread in the sunless hours of the Maine winter, painted forests as a muralist in Connecticut, and built pinball machines in Guangzhou.
