King Fern is a Double IPA as bold and robust as its namesake. Citra, Peacharine, Motueka, and Paradisi burst with notes of orange zest, ripe summer peach, passionfruit, and soft creamy vanilla. When we create these blends, it’s the culmination of a long process: days spent in the field with growers, selection at the source, and blending sessions on our brew deck. The hops used in King Fern are sourced from multiple farms and specific lots within their fields, chosen for how their characteristics play off one another. The ulitimate Fern is a potently tropical journey of flavor unlike anything else we make.
King Fern is a massive New Zealand Double that bursts with tropical fruit and a creamy body. It's the culmination of years and years of extensive travel and learning on the island, as much a function of our dedication to the craft as it is our farm partner's dedication to theirs. From the other side of the world, strange but familiar flavors confound the palate. This is a special beer.
