Illuminate

Illuminate is an American Wheatwine that pours a pale chestnut hue into the glass. A complex grain bill brings forth notes of caramel-drizzled pound cake, honey-soaked figs, and freshly baked blondies. Its richness is tempered by a subtle blend of Amarillo, Nugget, and Cascade hops; they offer aromas of citrus and pine.

Illuminate 🕯️

Illuminate 🕯️ Adjacent to the decadent Barleywine on the long list of underserved beers is the Wheatwine, a luscious sipper that’s so smooth one might think it’s been resting for years. A complex grain bill brings forth notes of caramel-drizzled pound cake, honey-soaked figs, and freshly baked blondies. Its richness is tempered by subtle citrus and pine aromas from a blend of West Coast hops. This style came about in the early days of the craft beer revolution and was inspired by German and English brewing traditions. Rarely is a beer of this strength crafted to showcase a single malt; the wheat notes create a rounded mouthfeel that plays uniquely off its toffee-and-caramel character. While hefty in ABV and meant to be sipped slowly, it's incredibly drinkable and a wonderful accompaniment to meals and desserts alike. Enjoy one now and hold on to the others for years of developing enjoyment and intrigue.
