Tree HouseBeersI Have Promises to Keep
In 2014, I brewed an American Pale Ale - Beneficiaries of Chance - to celebrate marrying the love of my life, Lauren. Over the years time has become a perpetual tradition to honor our bond with a new, celebratory beer to mark the occasion. For our fourth anniversary, I am pleased to offer a new Double IPA, I Have Promises To Keep!
Leads with citrus and white grape; also sweet.
On the Hoppy wheel, from Tree House’s own descriptions of this beer.
I Have Promises to Keep. It's been almost two years since we've seen this special beer. Brewed with copious amounts of Citra and Nelson, it carries potent notes of Sauvignon Blanc grape, gooseberry, fresh orange juice, and juicy mango. This beer's title is drawn from a line in Robert Frost's poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. As the speaker begins to drift into the darkness of the woods' siren song, he snaps himself out of the trance, reminding himself of all those to whom his heart is indebted. We hope this beer offers a similar moment of reflection on the promises we make to those we love, and how fortunate we are to be given another day to live up to them. Consider this one kept.
We've been low-key pulling some gems out of the archive. I Have Promises to Keep has been around for about six years, and it tastes just as juicy and innovative as it did when we first released it. I Have Promises to Keep. Nelson + Citra is a sublime combination when done right, and this Tree House classic contains this combination in heavy doses. What a beer! On the can is an actual image from Sand Beach at Acadia National Park on a cool, clear autumn evening.
