We’ve been making Earth Day Pale Ale for years, and as much as we’d love to have it year-round, part of what makes it special is its fleeting rarity. It combines two wonderfully delicate hop profiles: Nelson and Hallertau Blanc. Nelson gives off light notes of white grape and sweet lychee, while Hallertau Blanc fills the air with aromas of fresh elderflower and passionfruit juice. While our species’ curiosity sends us searching the cosmos for answers, it seems resoundingly clear that the most exciting place in the universe is right under our feet. The very root of our name, “humi” → human, denotes our origin: “of the earth.” It’s best we not forget what should be so obvious, that this soil and water and sky are our only home; our origin and eventual return. A portion of this beer’s sales will, as always, be donated to The Nature Conservancy 🌍
With the Wanaka Tree in mind, we share Earth Day—a special beer—as a gentle reminder of nature’s quiet beauty and the good fortune we have to experience, protect, and celebrate it together. This crisp Pale Ale features two sweet and bright hops: Nelson and Hallertau Blanc. The can's pop releases notes of white grape, lychee, and earthy citrus. Every day is Earth Day; we just happen to make beer once a year to reflect on it. #productphotography #productphotodaily #photography #craftbeer #treehousebrewing #beergram #beerstagram #beersandcameras #beerlover #beerbeerbeer #beerme #beergeek #beertography #beernerd #fujifilm #gfx100II @fujifilmx_us@profoto
Earth Day. The roots of environmentalism run deep in our home state, and we’re honored to play a small part in that rich history. The transcendental movement of the 19th century urged us to find the divine in nature and place our attention on the here and now. Emerson’s essay “Nature” and Thoreau’s “Walden” forever changed Americans’ conceptions of the natural world. These revolutionary ideas didn’t gather dust but rather transformed into action; some of our nation’s first private land trusts, cultural landscape preservation, and heritage parks started right here in the Bay State. We are proud to honor this legacy, and a portion of the proceeds from this beer will be donated to a modern iteration of this ethos, the Nature Conservancy. Earth Day is a crisp, hop-forward pale ale with notes of Sauvignon Blanc, earthy citrus, and mixed tropical fruits. We hope you enjoy this beer on the porch, in the woods, or anywhere else where we can unburden ourselves and appreciate our unique place in Mother Nature.
