Ahh, the yearly tradition of Cut Your Own is here, this time with a fresh blend of whole-cone hops! This year, we utilized Zumo and Anchovy hops, which bring layers of earthy pine and notes of limeade, raspberry soda, and tropical mixed fruits! Pelletized, cryo, and hop extracts are incredible in their own right, but there's something special about using hops in their natural, or rather historically 'basic', form. Wet-hop and whole-cone varieties capture the earthy, resinous lupulin magic of hops, allowing us to bring the aromas of the hop yard to your glass. A new release today that again celebrates the wonder of fresh whole cone hops: "Cut Your Own"! Cut Your Own is a Pale Ale utilizing whole cone Cascade, just in time for the holidays. Pouring a beautiful orange color, it bursts with sticky hop notes straight from the bale and hits with a wallop of candied orange, grapefruit peel and a burst of piney resin.
