Truth Cinnamon Amburana - deconstructed. What a thrill it is to watch very simple, agrarian ingredients - water, malt, yeast, hops, cinnamon, and amburana wood - transform into an incredibly characterful and complex beverage through careful stewardship and time. The myriad complex and robust flavors you will find in the various variants of Truth come from fundamentally simple constituents, and we find that remarkable. We're just getting started. 🙂
We've been thinking about, working with, and giving exceptional care and attention to Cinnamon Amburana Truth for a long time. This variation of Truth was conditioned on whole cinnamon sticks and Amburana, a Brazilian hardwood. This tropical wood is used in a wide range of spirits for its rich and dessert-like qualities; when used in an Imperial Stout, it has been nothing short of a revelation. Hovering above its creamy tan head are notes of cinnamon buns, vanilla cream, nutmeg, toasted coconut, woody spice, and dulce de leche. We remain awestruck by the transformative power and variety of flavors imparted by wood-aged beer. It is perfect for sharing and contemplating. We hope you can get your hands on a bottle.
