Brewed with juniper, spruce, and Norwegian yeast Bifrost has notes of resinous pine, dried citrus peel, and red berries. Bifrost is a Norwegian Farmhouse Ale that takes its name from the mythological rainbow road traveled by the gods. Adhering to tradition, we fermented this beer with kviek yeast, an aromatic strain whose lineage is an unadulterated representation of farmhouse brewing.
The newest beer in our classics program, Bifrost, resurrects ancient brewing methods and, more specifically, explores the fascinating world of Kveik yeast. This aromatic strain of yeast lineage is an unadulterated representation of farmhouse brewing. A living component of beer, responsible for fermentation, was captured and cultivated from Nordic farmhouse brewers, whose methods offer a glimpse into our past. Atop its rustic grain bill, aromas of resinous pine, dried citrus peel, and red berries swirl from juniper berries and spruce tips added in the boil. Finally, a small charge of Saphir hops adds subtle notes of dark currant and black tea. Traditional recipes such as this elegantly bridge our past with the present - it's just delightful. #productphotography #productphotodaily #photography #craftbeer #treehousebrewing #beergram #beerstagram #beersandcameras #beerlover #beerbeerbeer #beerme #beergeek #beertography #beernerd #fujifilm #gfx100II @fujifilmx_us@profoto
